Researchers at the University of Southampton in England, believe that the draft during the first stages of labor greatly reduces the need for epidural injections.

The news, contained in an article released on the website of the British Medical Journal, shows that women may benefit from some of the effects of a birth in the pool without having to necessarily give birth to the baby underwater. Some experts, in fact, are worried that a birth in water is harmful to the baby.
